Movember, which began in Australia in 2003, is now a world health movement tackling prostate cancer, testicular cancer, men’s mental health and suicide prevention on a global scale. The foundation’s year-round fundraising efforts culminates with an annual moustache-growing event throughout the month formerly known as November.

“We’re inviting our community to join us in ‘changing the face of men’s health’ by getting behind this amazing, annual fundraiser,” says Robyn Lakey, co-owner, JeffreyScott. “Globally, men are dying six years earlier than women, and for largely preventable reasons. Movember is a fun and effective way to raise awareness and funds to accelerate research, progress and positive change for men’s health around the world.”

Shave Off!

Hosted by Tiff Pope of Bay Barbers who is donating all fees from the day’s cut, trims and shaves.

Bay Barber will shave off customer’s beards and taches, in order to grow a new Mo for men’s health!
Light refreshments provided by the Acoustic Grill.
Walk-ins welcome from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m

Wednesdays and Sundays throughout Movember

Hosted by Jeff and Janice of Serendipity Yoga, who are donating all in-store class fees.

Wednesdays: Session starts at 6 p.m., followed by drinks, nibbles and conversation at the JeffreyScott bar.

Sundays: Session starts at 10 a.m., followed by pastries and baked goods donated from The Marans (Sun. 8th), Picnic (Sun. 15th), Beacon Bikes and Brew (Sun. 22nd), and The Bean Counter (Sun. 29th) as well beer donated by Gillingham Brewery and coffee.
